Enamul Hassan, PhD Student, UNT

Enamul Hassan is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Science with a concentration in Data Science at the University of North Texas (UNT). After earning a B.Sc. (Engg.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh, Enamul advanced to serve as a lecturer and later as an Assistant Professor in the same department. Throughout a six-year tenure, Enamul led significant projects and collaborated with both students and faculty, notably in the Natural Language Processing Lab. This period was marked by the successful execution of multiple initiatives, including government-funded IT consultancy projects aimed at automating public services.

Enamul also boasts a commendable track record as a competitive programming coach, cultivating teams that have achieved national and international recognition. This includes leading the SUST team to victory at the BUET IUPC 2023 and participating in the 45th ICPC World Finals in Dhaka. Beyond academia and coaching, Enamul has been actively involved in various university committees, contributing to substantial projects such as the automation of the entire SUST campus.

In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Enamul is a Research Assistant on the project “PERFECT - Providing Environment and Resources for STEM 9th-12th Graders in Effective Cybersecurity Training,” aiming to elevate cybersecurity awareness among high school students. As Enamul continues his doctoral studies, he is driven by a profound commitment to leveraging data science for the betterment of humanity, with a keen focus on enhancing security and privacy standards in technological applications.

Dedeepya Yarra, MS Student, UNT

Dedeepya Yarra is a dynamic and ambitious professional with a passion for technology and innovation. With a bachelor’s degree in computer science and 2 years of experience as a DevOps engineer, she possesses a strong foundation in both development and operations aspects of software projects. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in the field of Data Science, she is expanding her expertise into the realm of advanced analytics and machine learning. Her research work in deep learning showcases her dedication to exploring cutting-edge technologies and applying them to real-world challenges. With a strong command over various programming languages like python and tools, she has successfully implemented DevSecOps practices and streamlined software delivery processes without any security issues. Her commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and her continuous pursuit of knowledge make her an ideal candidate for driving innovation and driving data-driven insights.
